Cartoon Characters with Healing Ability

In my humble opinion, healing ability is one of the overpowered ability in the fictional world, besides super-strength, pyrokinesis, and plant manipulation. Not to be confused by accelerated healing or fast regeneration when injured, the healing ability is the ability to rapidly heal other people from life-threatening injuries, whereas accelerated healing is the power to rapidly stabilize and/or heal themselves from life-threatening injuries (at least that's what Wikipedia says). But, of course, someone with healing ability is also capable to heal themselves by their own method to heal, not always by regenerative body healing.

There are some cartoon characters with healing ability that I know. Each character is unique with their healing ability from one another. So, in this list, I will show you some cartoon characters with healing abilities in their own way.

(Caution: May contain spoilers)

Mansherry (One Piece)
Mansherry
(Source: zerochan.net)

Mansherry is a devil fruit user, Heal-Heal Fruit (Chiyu Chiyu no Mi), a Paramecia type devil fruit. She is a princess of the  Kingdom, a dwarf kingdom. She's capable to use her healing by using her tears or any liquid that she carries (e.g. water in her palms) to have physic contact with the injured one. Another technique that she uses is she will make spheres from her body liquid which can be donated to other people. She can heal herself and also fix damaged things with her ability. The bad side is, too much usage of this ability will shorten the user's lifespan.

Marco (One Piece)

Marco is also a devil fruit user. His devil fruit is Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix (Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix), a Mystical Zoan type devil fruit. Like the name of the devil fruit suggests, Phoenix is a mystical bird that can be born again or regenerates its life and its tears can heal any wounds. To heal, he creates a blue fire that reaches and engulfs the injured ones. He can heal not only injuries but also diseases, including ones that occur in him (so he can heal himself). Recently, he works as a doctor after the Whitebeard Pirates disbanded, so it shows the usefulness of his healing ability.

Trafalgar Law (One Piece)
Law Making Room
(Source: onepiece.fandom.com)

Another devil fruit user who is granted healing ability. Law is an Op-Op Fruit (Ope Ope no Mi) user, a devil fruit that can make the user become a very skilled and masterful surgeon. The user can perform any operation or surgery anywhere by making a spherical room that surrounds the user and the target(s) of operation and then the user can do a surgical operation on the said target(s). He can dissect his operation target(s) inside the spherical room by spatial telekinetic and manipulate the target's/(s') body and body parts, change and fuse the target's/(s') body with other objects, or even swap the target's/(s') personality. The power also allows him to scan the target's/(s') body like an X-ray, do the heart countershock (with his sword or his fingers), dissect and trap the target's/(s') heart in a cubic room without letting the target(s) die, and do other surgery-related abilities. From all of the capabilities above, of course, he can heal wounds and cure diseases. The further ability of Op-Op Fruit is to make someone immortal by performing the immortality surgery. This is why Law is known as "Surgeon of Death". However, this ability's usage will shorten the user's lifespan too.

Donquixote Doflamingo (One Piece)
Doflamingo Generating Strings
(Source: onepiece.fandom.com)

Doflamingo's devil fruit is String-String Fruit (Ito Ito no Mi), a Paramecia type fruit that allows him to generate strings from any kind of thing. Doflamingo's devil fruit power isn't necessarily for healing, but because he can create and manipulate the strings by his own will, it is possible to use the strings to stitch his severe physical injury. He did indeed stitch his body's organs as a first aid to prevent further damage when he was attacked. He could be a very skilled surgeon with this ability to stitch as well.

His ability is similar to another character, Leo, a dwarf from the Tontatta Kingdom, who possess Stitch-Stitch Fruit (Nui Nui no Mi) which grants the ability to stitch anything, including attaching limbs. The difference is that Leo only uses it on a smaller scale.

Chiyuri Kurashima/Lime Bell (Accel World)

(Source: accelworld.fandom.com)

Chiyuri Kurashima is one of the main characters in Accel World, a childhood best friend of Haruyuki Arita and Takumu Mayuzumi. Chiyuri has her alter ego in Brain Burst game, named Lime Bell. When first used her power, she healed another game player. Her spell to heal is "Citron call!". It is later revealed that Chiyuri's ability is actually to turn back time on something so that any wound, injury, or loss isn't present like never before, giving the exact (or literal) meaning of "Time will heal wounds".

Besides Lime Bell, there are two more known healers in the Brain Burst game. One of them is Kuroyukihime's older sister. The other one is already discharged from the Brain Burst game.

Chiyo Shūzenji/Recovery Girl (My Hero Academia)

Recovery Girl

Chiyo Shūzenzji, or Recovery Girl, is a pro-hero who works in U.A. High School as a school nurse. She has a power (called 'quirk') named "Heal". With her quirk, she can heal people by accelerating their healing process when she kisses the injured people. Because accelerating the healing process needs more energy from the injured ones, it's causing the injured ones will feel exhausted and sleepy. Nevertheless, she can't restore amputated limbs.

Katsuma Shimano and His Father (My Hero Academia)
Katsuma Shimano

They may be non-canon characters because they only appear in "My Hero Academia The Movie: Heroes Rising", but their quirk is related to healing ability. Katsuma and his father's quirk is "Cell Activation". Like the name of the quirk says, it can accelerate cells' activity of anything that they touch thus making the recovery progresses rapidly. But, you know the drill. If they use their ability for too long, it will exhaust them. There's a sort of restriction that the quirk wielder would only heal other people compatibly if they share the same blood type (example: a Type A person will heal people whose blood type is A also).

Tsunade, Sakura Haruno, and Other Medical Ninjas (Naruto)

The medical ninjas in Naruto may have the healing skill by performing a specific jutsu. With Mystical Palm Technique (Shousen Jutsu), they can heal their comrades and/or themselves. Basically, Mystical Palm Technique heals injuries by sending chakra from the Mystical Palm Technique user's palm so it increases natural recovery in the body. It can heal external and internal wounds, and illnesses too. To master the ability, the ninjas need a lot of training to control chakra and adequate medical knowledge so they know how to cure someone. The known most skilled medical ninjas are Tsunade and, in the following, Sakura.

Orihime Inoue (Bleach)
Orihime Healing with Her Power
(Source: bleach.fandom.com)

Orihime is Ichigo Kurosaki's friend which gains spiritual powers because Ichigo becoming a Soul Reaper (shinigami) affects people around him. Her powers are resembled by six (flower) spirits which reside in her flower-shaped hairpins. She has the "rejecting" ability so she can deny and undo some phenomenons with her powers. That includes when someone is injured. She will turn the injured person back to the initial state before the person is injured by "rejecting" so she can heal the injured ones. With some help from the spirits, she creates an elliptical shield likely made from light from her palm to heal the wounds in a limited area that is covered by the light shield. Thus, the wounds will be gone.

Retsu Unohana/Yachiru Unohana (Bleach)

(Source: bleach.fandom.com)

Retsu is another character in Bleach who has the capability to heal. Retsu is a Soul Reaper who has the position of a squad captain. As a Soul Reaper, she has the Soul Reaper spirited sword which reflects the user's soul and personality (zanpakutō), the first power transformation (shikai), and the second power transformation (bankai). Her shikai, with the spirit from her zanpakutō, named Minazuki (肉雫唼), lets her zanpakutō become a very big, green, one-eyed, manta ray-like creature with feet. Minazuki can heal up to 6 people by swallowing them and letting the acid fluid from inside its stomach soak them then healing the wounded ones stored inside its body. When they're all healed, it will let the people out by spewing them to the ground. Along with her spirited power, Retsu has medical prowess taught to her from healing techniques to medicinal plants. She also knows about energy healing by reciting some advanced spells (kidō) so she can replenish herself while fighting or others who are injured.

Katara (Nickelodeon's Avatar Series)
Katara
(Source: en.wikipedia.org)

Katara is a waterbender in the Avatar universe. Her skill as a waterbender is very proficient, not only in combat but also in healing. Katara knows she can heal when Aang accidentally burnt her hands and then she put her hands in river water. This shows that water can heal. Since then, Katara will always use her waterbending to heal and becomes a very known healer.

Rapunzel (Tangled)
Rapunzel and Her Chameleon, Pascal
(Source: wallpaperbetter.com)

Rapunzel is a princess born with golden hair from the effect of her mother drank some medicine made from a magic golden flower. The power from the magic golden flower also grants Rapunzel's ability to heal. To activate the ability, Rapunzel or someone near her must sing a special song, like a spell, and then her hair will glow bright golden. Initially, it is presumed that Rapunzel requires her long golden hair to heal someone else by touching her hair, wrapping the wound in her hair, or just having physical contact with her hair like combing her hair. But, after her hair is cut, she no longer needs her long hair because after all, her healing power still exists inside of her.

Mimosa Vermillion (Black Clover)

Mimosa Healing with "Princess-Healing Flower Robe"
(Source: blackclover.fandom.com)

Mimosa Vermillion is a witch with Plant Magic affinity from the Clover Kingdom. Her magic allows her to perform healing magic. With her open Grimoire (witch spells book), she will cast a spell to heal other people. For example, she casts a spell to make a chamber/cage made from plants surrounding an injured person and lets the magic from the plants heal the injured person inside the chamber/cage for some time so when the previously injured person wakes up, the person is mostly healed. To heal another person who has severe injuries and is almost dying, she needs to use more powerful healing spells. She casts a spell to make herself covered in plants which makes her look like wearing a robe/dress made from plants and pours magical power into an injured person to heal the person directly. Definitely, she's also capable of growing medicinal plants with her power.

Besides Mimosa, witches and wizards who can perform healing magic are those with the affinity of Briar Magic (e.g. Charla), Water Magic (e.g. Owen and Sister Lily Aquaria), Bubble Magic (e.g. Paplo Espuma), Blood Magic (e.g. Witch Queen), Snow Magic (e.g. Fragil Tormenta (anime only)), Gel Magic (e.g. Sally), Mucus Magic (e.g. Yagos), Fire Magic (e.g. Mars, Fana, and Sister Theresa Rapual) Light Magic (e.g. Patolli and Rhya), Sealing Magic (e.g. Secre Swallowtail), World Tree Magic (e.g. William Vangeance), and Song Magic (e.g. Kahono). Healing magic can also be used by using some magical tools/devices/equipment. The concept of healing magic is the same even in different affinities: using spells from the Grimoire.

Josuke Higashikata (JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable)
Josuke Higashikata
(Source: pinterest.com)

Josuke Higashikata is one of the JoJos who appears as the main protagonist in his part (the 4th part). He has a 'stand' (a physical manifestation of someone's soul) named Crazy Diamond granted with the ability to render something to its previous state or to mix more than one compounds into one and to revert something to its initial components. With his stand power, he's able to heal people and restore damages. Unfortunately, he can't do it for himself (his own body) and a dead person. He may repair the destroyed body of a dead person, but he can't bring the person back alive.

Giorno Giovanna (JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Golden Wind)
Giorno Giovanna
(Source: jojo.fandom.com)

Giorno Giovanna is the JoJo (GioGio) main protagonist of the next part of the series, just after "Diamond is Unbreakable". He has a stand named Gold Experience with the ability to make living creatures like plants and animals from inanimate things. He then improves his ability to manipulate life to the extent he can make living creatures' body parts and give "dead" objects a life (which results in him created a kind of "zombie", but that's another story). Because of it, he can heal other people who lose their limbs or other body parts by replacing them with the body parts he made.

Well, that's all from me. Are there any more characters who also have healing ability which is not in the list that you want to add? Who's your favourite character with healing ability?

Thanks to you all!
